If you could compare your Nationstates country to a real country in the world, what one would it be?

Canada, my army's small, we help out others, and we kick ass!!!!

No one country would work. Mythila is a mix of Canada, France, Japan, and the Netherlands... oh, and the UK.

Azgoroth just dissed Canada, even if he did not mean it. Come on, do not belittle our country.

For mine, I'd say Iran, and the United States.

WTF Alexius? Listen, our army IS small, it's also been said that we are the most efficient with the technology we have. Two I said we help people, how the fuck is that belittling our country huh? What the hell? Why the fuck do you think that by me saying that our army is small that it's belittling? It's true, my father's in the military, so I think that I know. So maybe next time before you want to go and try to pick a fight and tell off myself know who the fuck your dealing with.

BTW, that makes sense, your country being a mix of Iran and US. They're both mortal enemies (unofficially), one's uber religious and the other goes and shoots someone roughly every 3 seconds. Nice one Alex nice one.

I'd say that mine is a lot like Germany and central Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Lichtenstein, Netherlands; I know that Netherlands is not central Europe). The reason why I say that my place is like the Netherlands is because that they are very liberal, the most left country in the world, and also very formal and under control.

In case no one knows, I know that Geoff does, I am getting rid of Stutgart and making my nation much like Switzerland and the UN governmentally. Yeah, it's kind of hard to explain in a paragraph, but it will all fall into place.

And, Matt didn't diss Canada at all.

I suppose you should think about what you're talking about before you speak about such things. Quite frankly, the reason I chose both the United States and Iran were for quite coherent reasons.

My nation is modelled around a corporate-government body. They can control the current seat of power using influence, and power. Does this not sound familiar, anyone? *Cough*USA*Cough* I modelled my entire nation off what my perspective of what the USA could end up being, minus a few tiny tad-bit details, such as the seat of power being a theocracy.

It is like Iran because of the dictatorship that exists there. If you have ever watched the movie, "The Village," would know exactly what I'm talking about. The government can blind the entire nation and make them believe one thing about the outsiders of their nation, and can strike fear into their hearts to disallow them from leaving.

Now, before you speak to me about my own nation and what I think I should compare it to, I'd suggest reading my history, or maybe just plain using common sense.

Also, you don't know what the fuck you are talking about when you're talking about Canada. Also, you don't know what context I was talking about. Hint: Nothing to do with the millitary...more "globally."

That was quite the unappropriate place for a flame, wouldn't you agree? Alex, I don't mean to interrupt or involve myself in your petty little argument with Azgoroth, you are in really no place to tell a person that they know nothing of their own country. What he said was all too true and accurate. Technically, we don't actually "kick ass" but anyone with two brain cells could connect the meaning of that; his patriotism.

I cannot find anything at all offensive in what he wrote to Canada. Actually I can only find one reason why you found that belittling: because he compared himself (his nation) to Canada, thus implying that he's a dumbass or something similar. If that is the case you just wanted to be rude and pick some sort of pathetic argument in the wrong location of the forums.

That's all I have to say, and that should be all that I will say.

Okay.....Listen Alex. I think I know a thing or two about the country I've been LINVING IN SINCE I WAS BORN!!!!!!!! Mostly Military 'cause it's what I grew up in. As mike said, I'm patriotic about Canada. I love it, it's awsome, ask any of the people here. My country is run by the military for the most part, most of my funding goes to the army, and police force. I have ministers who are HONEST....and don't go and try to make things seem like they aren't important. I don't have a history up so I can't go and tell you to read it, but I think I migh make one so you know what YOUR talking about.

I don't what I've gone and done to piss you off, but it's starting to piss ME off. What did I do to you huh? I've been trying to nicer after my snap. Yet I get told I'm belittling a country that does more good with a small military in the last 2 years than the U.S has done with their huge one in the last 10. All I said was that we had a small army, help people and kick ass. What is so belittling about that?

I think that my country has a mixture of several deceased Empires and monarchies in it, such as Rome, China Japan and European kingdoms of past, mix that with a slightly adjusted Western capitalism and you have it.

BTW Azgaroth, I believe that Alexius was insulting your NS country and not disagreeing with those things that you said about Canada, that is how I interpretted it anyway.

First of all, please excuse my snapping. I didn't mean for it to go that far, but I couldn't stand (a) my country being dissed by someone being completely hypocritical, and (b) I just was really not in a great mood.

Second, I do not want to create a flame war of any sort, nor do I want to demean any of you, so excuse me if I had.

Do you not call that hypocritical? You were trying to explain why you weren't dissing your nation to me about some random crap about the millitary and suddenly you think up this random excuse about Iran and the U.S. which I am pretty sure is untrue. I think I may know more about the arab countries since my parents are from there (Lebanon, in particular).
