If I could compare my country to one, I would probaly compare it to...Problay Germany during 1914-1918. Because, they were fighting for what they thought was right, and plus they had a powerful Military even before the war because they knew one was coming. Kind of relates to my country.

Alexius, I'm not sure if you picked up "Alex, I don't mean to interrupt or involve myself in your petty little argument with Azgoroth," in my post defending Matt. I think I'm entitled to defend my friends when I see them being flamed for some harmless comment.

Just because you have parent(s) from that region does not necessarily mean that you know more about it. The same to you, Matt, about your father in the military. Pulling a case like that is just as good as the age comparison argument.

Anyway, Sassoon, couldn't we say that about anywhere that is in war? I believe that everyone that is in a war believes their side to be righteous. And, Germany didn't know war was coming until Franz Ferdinand was assassinated, archduke of Germany's greatesy ally of the time - The Austro-Hungarian Empire. *coughs*

Actually Schmidt, Their was tension in Europe for years before the assassination happened. And, Germany's leader at the time, I forget his name, but he was trying to make germany a World power, or at least that was his dream, but he made Germany's army very strong.

Germany was a world power, Sassoon. It always had been, generally, for about 300-250 years beforehand. Does the name "Prussia" ring any bells? The name you are looking for is Bismarck and of course they had a huge army, but he/they wasn't/weren't preparing for war then. They had no reason to.

And it wasn't Bismarck who was trying to make Germany a superpower, it was Hitler after WWI, during the great depression - back when it cost over 200 Deutsche Marks to buy one American dollar : /
