If we should ever find a firm opposition, I'd be happy to debate it. Obviously, I am for cloning, except for immoral purposes, i.e. creating an army.

I would be for a clone army if it was practical, but I think the army of the future will be made up of droids.

How do you feel about replacing children with essentially genetically modified clones (In this you could mix DNA so that it would not be an exact copy)

Genetically modifying children would be amazing. We could give them super strength, speed, and intelligence. They could make a massive empire of P.L.A.N.Ts in space, and we could go to war. Soon, they'd employ neutron jammers to stop us from using nukes, and make mobile suits to beat us into the ground. Soon after, they'd create the G.E.N.E.S.I.S super-weapon, capable of destroying entire areas of the Earth.

Uhh... Ignore that last part. What I meant to say was, perhaps genetic modification could speed up human evolution. From a religious standpoint, why would God create DNA if we didn't want us to manipulate it? :P

Exactly humans have always principally evolved through technology; genetic modification is just the next tech.

i'm for cloning though not for replaceing babys i mean why bouther but anyway cloneing is good for every one

Explain how cloning is good for everyone... and why NOT bother genetically modifying our children?

Yes, but human nature comes into it. Will you have the same love of a clone as you have of a child that you have made, though you've modified it slightly?

So you want me top explain? Ok, if some people do not love their normal offspring it is justifiable to say that the bond between parent and child is built rather than preexistent, therefore it is logical to conclude that clones can be loved just as much as children, after all husband and wife rarely have a common family and that is arguably the strongest bond of all.

ok i'll start with be fore where born all the way to old age first as geoff and gundam seed point out geneticly modifing our children before there born would make them smarter, stronger,faster not to mention the fact that babies would no longer be born with defects. then as they grow if they lose a limb they can have one cloned to replace it. as they begin to age they can they can begiven in jections of stem cells so as to dramaticly slow the ageing processe and finaly after there body finaly gives out there is the possability of haveing there mind transfered to a clone of there body

That's the exception, rather than the norm.
